Slow Strangling Vines

Tuesday, March 1, 2011
A little late, but happy March! This is a picture from near my grandma's
house. There's a lot of very beautiful old stone houses back there and I really
liked the vines and window along the stones in this picture.

Quote Of The Day: (Sorry, not the greatest...the best I
could find.)
"The pleasures of the palate deal with us like the Egyptian
thieves, who strangle those whom they embrace." ~ Seneca

50 Word Story:
Deathly Beauty
The vines seem sweet at first. Honeysuckle flowers cling to their green
tendrils, releasing a pleasant smell and inviting admiration. Slowly, though,
they begin to weave deeper, sucking the life out of what they're latched onto.
If not careful, they strangle. Ever so carefully, ever so slowly. Disguised as
beauty.
