Transportation

Wednesday, March 2, 2011
Another picture from New York, in case you hadn't figured that out already.
This, in case you can't read the writing on the boat, is the Staten Island Ferry.
We rode the ferry to Staten Island and back to get a glimpse of the Statue of
Liberty. It's funny, one wouldn't think that New York had a lot of ship travel,
but it does.

Quote Of The Day:
"Mass transportation is doomed to failure in North America
because a person's car is the only place where he can be alone
and think." ~ Marshall McLuhan

50 Word Story:
Shuttling and Ferrying
The city rumbles to life as the transportation gradually wakes up. Boat
engines slowly come to life, churning the water around them. Car horns honk
every once in a while, shuttling people around all parts of the city. The train
whistles, rumbling through the chaos. Public transportation at its loudest.
