This picture was taken today at the Mercer Slough Blueberry Farm. Wentpicking with my mother and a friend. We had a good time, except that all
the blueberries were either dead, unripe, or the bushes were stripped
bare...Not nearly as successful as our raspberry picking...This is a picture
of a sunflower they had inside the warehouse.

50 Word Story:
Late Bloomer
Closed up in a bud. So new and barely alive in the world. Through cold
nights and hammering rain, it stayed safe in the bud. "When will it bloom?"
the young ones asked. "In time." Warm, mild spring days came. The sun
shone down. And it slowly opened, unexpectedly vibrant.
