Took this picture today as a last minute idea as I was totally blanking on

what to do for my blog...My mother is holding a recipe for her "famous

bumble-berry pie." I have it every year on my birthday and it is the most

delicious pie I've ever had. Love you, Mom!

Angels' Confections

Ingredients set out in scattered order. Flour sprinkled across the counter.

The rolling pin and measuring cups discarded off to the side. Oven mitts

resting on the cold burner of the stove, waiting. The warm, pleasing aroma

of baked goods wafts through the house. Sweet confections - the work of

angels.
