Granted Wishes?

Today's picture is of a seeded dandelion against the clouds. I was thinking

about wishes and got into a conversation with my amazing mother. We both

realized that we still wish on the first star we see, a penny heads up, a

shooting star, blowing a dandelion...

A new puppy, a wonderful birthday present, cookies from the jar on the

shelf, an afternoon of playing - the wishes of a child. World peace, an end to

war, a raise, safety for the family - the wishes of an adult. Both wished on

the same things; stars, dandelions, pennies...simple things...
